If Ronda Rousey ever tested positive for using banned substances, it would be devastating—DEVASTATING—to the UFC. She’s their biggest fighter right now, and she has captivated the entire country. So if she failed a drug test—an actual drug test, not, well, you know—it would be a big blow to the UFC and, to a larger extent, MMA.
Fortunately, it seems like the USADA is doing everything they can to make sure she’s 100 percent clean. According to Bloody Elbow, the organization has tested Rousey not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, but five times so far this year. She’s been tested more than any other UFC fighter in 2015, and it’s worth noting that she’s been tested twice as often as fighters like Conor McGregor, Jose Aldo, and Daniel Cormier.
It’s also worth noting that the USADA has tested Rousey’s last opponent Bethe Correia four times. Rousey sort of proved that she wasn’t juicing, though, no?
