Shaquille O’Neal has been training mixed martial arts for years and at one point even petitioned the UFC for a fight against Jose Canseco. Alas, the party poopers at the UFC turned him down, so we’ll have to settle for the tiny snippets of video that surface occasionally of Shaq working his martial arts — like this one featuring UFC lightweight contender Nate Diaz.
Nate is the little brother of the notorious Nick Diaz and equally crazy. Just two weeks ago, Nick and Nate were involved in a cage-side brawl during a World Series of Fighting event with fellow UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team. The two groups ran into each other again later that night on the Vegas strip and continued their fight. Just another weekend in the life of the Diaz brothers.
But between Nate and Shaq it’s all smiles and love. Nate takes some time to teach Shaq some Ronda Rousey-style judo throws, and then the basics of the Stockton Slap — now adopted by O’Neal as the SHAQRAMENTO SLAP.
